How to remove blemishes in Lightroom? 👇 You don’t How to remove blemishes in Lightroom? 👇

You don’t.

If you’re using the remove, heal, or clone tool to clean up spots and smooth skin across a whole shoot...

❌ STOP!!

Doing this in Lightroom is costing you REAL money.👇

Because as you know, the patch doesn’t move with the image. Every time the frame shifts, you have to fix it frame by frame.

That’s not fast.

That’s retouching, just without getting paid for it.

Retouching happens in Photoshop, one image at a time, with precision.

After clients order and PAY for it.

Retouching in Lightroom removes the need for the exact service clients pay extra for.

I make $12-15K a year in retouching fees alone, because I don’t include it in my packages, and I definitely don’t do it in Lightroom.

So what DO I use Lightroom for?

Photographers constantly struggle with these. I’m here to clear up the confusion.

1️⃣ Is the photography market saturated?

No. If you’re not booking, It’s because you haven’t given clients a reason to choose YOU.

2️⃣ Do photographers need a contract?

Yes. Every time. No contract means you have a hobby, not a business. Winging it is how you get treated like an amateur.

3️⃣ Do I need a studio to make six-figures as a photographer?

No. I was making six figures out of a two-bedroom apartment long before I got my first studio. Nobody’s judging the space you work out of. They care about the result and the experience you provide.

4️⃣ Why should photographers niche down?

Because generalists compete on price and specialists become the go-to premium photographers. Nobody pays premium prices for a jack of all trades.

5️⃣ What should my photography business email be?

Your email address is the first clue you give a client about your prices. @gmail.com screams amateur and invites price shoppers. Make it @yourbusinessname.com

6️⃣ Should my prices be on my photography website?

No. The second a prospect sees a number before they know your value, they’re gonna choose the $200 guy. Sell your value first. Reveal the investment after.

7️⃣ Does a good website bring in photography clients?

No. A beautiful website won’t fill your calendar if nobody finds it. You need to actively learn marketing.

8️⃣ What actually makes clients send referrals to photographers?

Not the photos. It’s how you made them feel. That’s what turns into the five-star review, the referral, and the client posting about you online.

🔃 Share this with the photographer who’s getting at least one of these wrong.

The 3 systems you need for your biz.👇 Two weeks i The 3 systems you need for your biz.👇

Two weeks in Spain and Portugal.

I only spent 30 minutes a day answering client inquiries.

That’s the ONE thing I don’t hand off to my assistant.

✨ Because that’s where I sell my value before anyone sees my prices.

Everything else in my photography business ran without me:

1️⃣ A non-refundable deposit holds the date. Make it enough that it stings a little if a client walks.

2️⃣ Automation sends the quote, the contract, and the reminder before the shoot. This decreases no-show rates SIGNIFICANTLY.

👉 Start with a CRM like 17Hats!

Comment ✨17✨ and I’ll send you my link for 50% off your first year! No email necessary.

3️⃣ ShootProof gives clients a professional web gallery and makes it easy for them to order prints, products and retouching. Which means more money for you while you sleep.

And don’t tell anyone, but I prefer them over Pixieset. I found too many limitations with Pixieset.😬

BUT and this is a BIG BUT

❌ If retouching is baked into your session fee, you just deleted an entire revenue stream.

❌ If every booking needs you to send an email, you don’t have a photography business. You have a job without a life.

What’s the one thing in your business that would STOP making money if you disappeared for two weeks?

That’s the thing to automate first. Or charge for.😉

Comment ✨SCRIPT✨ and I’ll send you my 6-Figure Booking Script, the exact strategy I used to build a 6-figure headshot business.

✅ REMOVE YOUR PRICES from your website.

One step, immediate lead increase.

❌ And stop auto-DMing them to every new follower. 🤦‍♀️

Here’s what you lose when you do that as a photographer:

1️⃣ An email list. Cold leads today become paying clients later, once they know your value.

2️⃣ The sale. Prospects only pay premium prices once they know you solve THEIR specific problem.

3️⃣ The connection. People buy from photographers they like. A price tag can’t build that. A phone call can.

✨Get photography leads to contact you.

📲 Call them.

👂 Ask. Listen. Learn their problem.

Then position your photography business as the solution.

This client signed my contract. Then asked for a re-shoot. Then a refund.

As a photographer, I f*cked up. Not where you’d think.

❌ Having a signed contract isn’t enough.

✅ You have to say it out loud. Every time.

Especially to the client who “trusts you with everything.”

❌ STOP DMing your prices!

✅ Yes there are clients willing to pay professional photographers.

No they’re not choosing iPhonography over you.

👉 They’re just not choosing YOU.

When you reply to an inquiry with your prices because they asked, they move on to the cheaper guy.

These are price shoppers.

✨ You can convert price shoppers into value buyers.

OR BETTER YET.

You can start attracting more value buyers who won’t bat an eye at your prices.

The way to do that is to position your value first, not send your prices!

💁🏼‍♀️ Learn to sell your value and fill your calendar with high paying clients.

And before you ask, no, your prices don’t belong on your website either.

But first, 3 reasons to use a light meter.

1️⃣ For one, your histogram can’t read your mind as a photographer.

It shows you if you’re clipping highlights or blacks in your picture and that’s it.

What if you have a bright window in the background?

Your histogram is going to lie to you and tell you that your highlights are overexposed.

😱 But in fact your portrait will be UNDERexposed.

2️⃣ What if you want to create a pure white background so you don’t spend hours in post turning it white?

Umm you need a light meter. Want to learn how to light a white background? Let me know in the comments.

3️⃣ You’re spending too much time in post “fixing” your exposure.

❌ That’s because the LCD behind the camera is NOT accurate.

It looks different depending on how bright you have it. And how bright is SHOULD be for an accurate read is a mystery to us all.

✨ I try to symplify my explanations for photographers.

🔃 Share with a photographer who doesn’t know how to use a light meter.
