One of the reasons my prices arenât publicly available on my website (controversial I know) is because it allows me to collect email addresses.
Collecting email addresses has allowed me to bring fast cash injections into my business, and one way I do that is by â¨selling out⨠my sale days.
Depending on my business needs, offer 2 to 4 mini-sale days a year where I provide my clients with the opportunity to shoot with me by purchasing small package bundles I donât normally offer for my standard sessions.
Selling out on these Mini sessions brings in five figures in one day.
In fact, one of the ways it’s helped my business is this.
When I moved to the current studio Iâm in, I did $28,000 worth of renovations to the space to make it a photography studio.
I put in floor to ceiling windows, refinished the concrete floors, put in a skylight, built an office area with doors for sound privacy, a kitchenette and an area to store our backdrops.
The way I was able to pay off that debt was with sale days! If I remember correctly, it took a little over a year with maybe 5-6 sale days.
Another way I leverage my email list, aside from nurturing my clients with value packed emails and selling to them on a regular basis, is with affiliate marketing.
When you become an authority in your space, you’ll likely get approached by other businesses who target the same ideal clients.
These businesses will often ask you to promote something they’re selling to your list in exchange for a commission.
And when one of my colleagues is selling something that I genuinely believe my clients can benefit from, and I trust they are good humans doing good things in the world, I promote their service to my list.
Because I have a large, engaged email list (which Iâve been growing for the last ten years), I make five figures in commission every time I promote an affiliate program. The people on my list buy.
So if you arenât collecting email addresses yet, START NOW.
Next week, Iâll layout five ways you can easily start growing your email list!
