How to Have a Four-Figure Mini Photography Sale Day

Okay so what are Mini sessions anyway?

Well, Mini sessions are typically smaller and less expensive than the sessions you offer regularly and they’re not available for purchase except when you promote them.

They typically take place on one or two dedicated sale days, no more than two to three times a year.

⚠️ WARNING: Limiting Mini sale days is VERY IMPORTANT because you don’t want to teach your prospects to wait until you have a sale to purchase from you or you’ll go out of business.

Mini sessions are meant to be scarce and accomplish 3 things:

  1. Convert prospects who wouldn’t otherwise be able to pay your regular prices.
  2. Introduce your work to clients on the fence about working with you (who may end up purchasing your regular package after seeing how you work.)
  3. Bring in a fast cash infusion into your business.

My last Mini sale day brought in a whopping $7,140.

And you too can make four figures in one day. Here’s the key.🔑

For Mini sessions to be successful, they need to offer something you don’t normally offer, a value clients just can’t say no to AND they need to have scarcity.

So what do my Mini sessions include?

  • Smaller packages which I don’t offer any other time of year, at a discounted price.
  • Retouching.
  • Makeup.

Can you think of anything you can offer your clients that you don’t normally offer, and that they couldn’t say no to? That’s your Mini sale day offer!

Normally my packages start with 4 looks. On Mini sale days, I offer the option to purchase 1, 2 or 3 look packages. An offer clients can’t resist.

Normally my packages do not include any retouches. Retouching is paid for á la carte. Something I teach you to do so that you don’t leave money on the table as a photographer. But for my Mini packages, retouching is included. An offer clients can’t resist.

And finally, normally makeup is an additional charge paid directly to the makeup artist. For Mini sale days, I include the makeup artist and pay her myself. How can anyone resist?

My Mini sale days are limited to two to three times a year, taking place on one day only. So I can only photograph the number of slots available in a day.

And guess what? They sell out EVERY SINGLE TIME.

And I know, right about now, you’re probably wondering how I sell my Mini sessions. If you’ve been reading my blogs, I bet you can guess which method I use.

I’ll give you a hint: Exclusivity.

So which method is it?

  1. Social media
  2. On my website
  3. Via my email list
  4. All of the above

If you don’t know how I sell my Mini sessions, DM me on Instagram, and ask me to explain!

Got ideas on what to offer and want to run it by me? DM what you normally offer and what your idea is! I’m happy to help.😘

Hi, I’m Vanie!

Pronounced like Bonnie… and I blame my parents for the misspelling of my name! I went from having $300 in the bank to building a six-figure headshot photography business doing what I love. I’m here to teach you how to do the same!
