Do you know if your headshots are competitive?

If your headshots are not getting you out, compare them to headshots of friends that are auditioning and working. 

Chances are, you may notice some differences between their headshots and yours.

Lori Wilson: Nosy Neighbor / Butch Friend / BoHo

Jenny Caterina: Hipster / Love Interest / Heroine

FOR EXAMPLE,  you may notice the quality of their headshots are better, or perhaps they have clearly defined marketing looks casting directors can identify. 🔎

Phoung Kubacki: Upscale Business / Outdoorsy / Creative Professional

Hannah Scott: Heroine / Girls’ Night Out / Student

If that’s the case, ask yourself how much time and money you’ve invested in your headshots.

Is your investment an investment in your career? Or did you try to save a few $$ and let your friend do a “quick” set of headshots? 

Have you properly thought through what your age range is along with your target market?

Do you have character specific looks 🎯, or are your headshots NOT specific?

Did you spend the time to prepare or did you rush the process? I mean this is one of the most important things you can do for your career!

To become a working actor, you need to make sure you don’t cut corners with your headshots. Period.

If you want those auditions coming in hot and steady…

✨You need to pay a professional for quality that’ll stand out in a small thumbnail online. 

✨You need to figure out your age range and auditions you should be targeting based on your look and essence.

✨You need to take the time to prepare those looks (even if it means shopping and returning new clothes) so you capture specific characters casting directors can identify and call you in for.
